Developing applications for iPhone

Apple has posted a small guide about creating applications for iPhone. If you're looking to develop an application or have already created one, you should make sure that it follows the guidelines set forth by Apple.

Of note, we are in the process of tagging all the applications we list as being iPhone ready, which includes being the proper width. Applications that don't render as expected will be removed from our list, as will applications that have Google or other ads integrated into them.

Of Backgrounds, Ringers and iPhones

We've gotten a hold on an iPhone, and can now say that this site works on iPhone. We'll be testing all the iPhone apps on the iPhone and tagging the ones that work as advertised so that you don't end up trying out dud apps.

We've also added a handful of backgrounds for use on your iPhone. Just download and sync them to your iPhone and you're all set!

As for Ringers, as of now, you can't use custom ringers on the iPhone. Hints of adding custom ringers have been found in iTunes 7.3, but until Apple unlocks/adds this functionality, there's nothing to add to the ringers section.
